The park contains several covered picnic areas with BBQ pits. There are showers and restrooms available as well as a volleyball court and a great fishing pier. King Fisher Beach is a great place to sit back relax and enjoy the sun. Seashells and sandcastles are common place in this area. The tides can leave some exciting treasures along this stretch of sand.

SUNDAY BEACH

Sunday Beach is located on Matagorda Island. Persons can utilize the Sunday Beach area, accessed via boat from either the Gulf or Pass Cavallo, for camping, beach combing, fishing, and bird watching. There are no fees, permits, or restrictions on the use of this area. There is no electricity, concession, or drinking water on the island. All visitors are required to bring all necessary supplies with them. All interior access is via hiking, biking, or TPWD vehicles during scheduled hunts or tours. No private motorized vehicles!

Ten minutes west of Port O`Connor, Magnolia Beach is an uncrowded oasis that attracts birders, shell hunters and those in search of a laid-back, Gulf Coast beach vacation. Magnolia beach also offers superlative shore fishing for surf anglers and crabbing for shellfish lovers. Magnolia Beach is a vital stopover for migratory waterfowl. The National Audubon Society`s annual census has found the bird count along the shores of the eight mile beach to be among the highest in the nation.
