Welcome to Big Tree Cottages on St. Charles Bay!
Enjoy your stay in this cute, pink, coastal cottage that sleeps up to seven.
You will have an adventure fishing from the 500’ shared pier. At the end of the pier there is an 800 sq. ft T-head. There is a fish cleaning station so you can prepare your catch for the evening’s dinner.
The kitchen is spacious with stainless appliances and upgraded countertops and fully equipped with a coffee maker and microwave. Everyone can hang out at the island, with seating for five while dinner is being prepared.
The entire cottage is decorated with a tranquil palette that creates the perfect setting for relaxation. The first bedroom has a queen bed and the second bedroom has a queen as well as a twin. The bathroom features a custom tiled walk-in shower. There is a flat panel television in the living room with access to wi-fi.
These cottages are across the street from the Lamar public boat ramp making it the perfect spot for a fishing vacation. You are also only a short drive away from Goose Island State Park where you can enjoy fishing and bird watching. This is also the location of the Big Tree which was named the State Champion Coastal Live Oak in 1966 and although it no longer holds the title it is still one of the biggest Live Oak trees in Texas. You are also near the Copano Causeway wade fishing area and boat ramp. Lamar also has great places to eat like Pop’s Tavern and Café where you can order delicious steaks, seafood, and burgers.
These cottages are also about a 20 minute drive to downtown Rockport that is filled with shops and restaurants if you feel like a night out and some fresh seafood on the water. Check out a list of restaurants in Rockport on our site under activities and attractions. If you feel like shopping than you can grab a cup of coffee at the Daily Grind and walk along Austin Street and visit the shell shops and cute clothing boutiques. Spend a day in the sun at the Rockport Beach where you can rent jet skis, swim with the kids, or grill up some food at one of the picnic areas. The Rockport Beach also allows fishing and is only five dollars for a day pass or 20 dollars for a year pass. There are two piers at the Rockport Beach, the south pier is free, and the north pier has a beach admission fee. There is also a boat ramp. We have a list of fishing guides on our site as well.
